Summer is set to come to life at the Royal Botanic Gardens with the biggest blockbusters heating up the silver screen at the Moonlight Cinema. If sitting in a cinema is not your idea of a great night out with friends or family, this is a not to be missed event. Australian Open Ballpark
Attending the tennis and not quite sure how to entertain the kids? For the first time, the Australian Open have introduced a mini theme park called AO Ballpark. Features include LEGO Play Zone, NERF Battlezone HQ, Adventure Park, Medibank Play Park and for the little kids Bob the Builder- Building Site. Returning for 2017 is the ever popular ANZ Hot Shots Fan Zone with an all new ‘Fan Zone’ featuring brand new skills and drills.

Chinese New Year
Unifying the city’s Year of the Rooster celebration and presenting a cultural experience for locations and visitors – both local and international, the Chinese New Year Melbourne Festival will offer showcase to festival attendees’ spectacular lighting installations, cultural performances, unique food experiences and public activities between 27 January and 12 February.
Lonsdale Street Festival
Enjoy a weekend of Greek culture, food and entertainment in the city’s historic Greek Precinct. Featuring 3 stages of free entertainment, children’s activities and rides and over 60 drink, food and craft stalls, Lonsdale Street will be taken over for Melbourne’s largest celebration of Greek culture on 25 & 26 February.
White Night Melbourne
Australia’s most celebrated cultural event returns for one night only on 18-19 February in 2017. Gaining inspiration by the international Nuit Blanche movement, White Night Melbourne is an all-night, free cultural event that offers a mix of free and ticketed entertainment including visual art, spectacular illuminations, special dining experiences, music, theatre and performances. Melbourne is the only city in Australia to hold an all-night event and joins 23 international cities including Toronto, Paris and Singapore.
